Obsidian Shield
A shield of black glass
Shield Epic Effect: Bleed, Shieldsmash ID: 51488
Forged in the depths of the Volcano that looms over the Exiled Lands, this shield is made of obsidian. Nobody knows what the purpose of a glass shield is, but perhaps the black glass is strengthened when formed into such a lattice.
About Obsidian Shield
Obsidian Shield is an Epic Shield in Conan Exiles. It deals 32 light damage, 32 heavy damage, and 12.83% armor penetration. It is a Tier 4 item.
Obsidian Shield is a craftable weapon — it is produced at a crafting station rather than dropped by enemies. Tier 4 places it in the upper band of the game's weapon progression.
Its base damage of 32 ranks #48 of 87 Shield entries tracked here. It has a modest 12.83% armor penetration, 10 poise damage that helps interrupt enemies, and 1875 durability before it needs repair. At 2.63 weight it is light to carry.
Carried off-hand to block and shield-bash; pair it with a one-handed weapon for a defensive bruiser build.
Verdict: Overall Obsidian Shield is a middle-of-the-pack option among Shield weapons in Conan Exiles, and being craftable makes it easy to replace if it breaks.
